Volunteering with STEPWAY CIO
STEPWAY supports veterans and their families as they adjust to civilian life. Our volunteers play a key role in helping us deliver that support — and we couldn’t do it without them.
Available Roles:
- Veteran Support Volunteer – Help with drop-in sessions, offer a listening ear, and signpost support.
- Welfare Support Assistant – Support the welfare team with admin, appointments and follow-up calls.
- Group Activities Volunteer – Assist in delivering art, craft, garden, Banter and Brews sessions or discussion groups.
- Community Engagement Volunteer – Help promote our work at events and in the community.
- Office & Admin Volunteer – Provide admin support at our Wellbeing Centres.
Whether you’re a veteran, family member, student, or someone who just wants to give back — there’s a role for you.

The LINK Community Hub in Powick is a lively, welcoming space for veterans, families and local residents. Our volunteers help run a wide range of community projects and keep the hub running smoothly.

Available Roles:
- Coffee House Volunteer – Help prepare drinks, serve customers, and keep the space friendly and warm.
- Gardening Volunteer – Support our gardening area or help with the community green space.
- Workshop Assistant – Help run wellbeing sessions like arts, crafts, or group discussions.
- Warm Hub Volunteer – Welcome people to our warm space during winter, offering hot drinks and a chat.
- Admin & Reception Volunteer – Support behind the scenes with emails, diaries, and sign-in sheets.
- Recycling & Repair Volunteer – Get involved in our repair café, helping to sort or fix small items.
Whether you can give an hour a week or a few days a month, your time makes a difference.
