These include:

🎨 Crafts and creativity – exploring arts and crafts in a relaxed setting

πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Walks and talks – gentle outdoor activity with time to connect

πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈ Menopause support – a safe space to share experiences and support one another

🚌 Organised day trips – building friendships and reducing isolation

πŸ“š Social activities – including meals out, book club and group sessions

πŸ’» Online support – regular group sessions on Teams for those unable to attend in person

The group is led by women who understand the unique experiences of service life and offer a supportive, non-judgemental space.

Meet the Project Lead – Helen Brown

The Women Veterans Support Network is led by Helen, a veteran who understands first-hand the transition from military to civilian life.

Helen brings lived experience, warmth and understanding to the group, creating a space where women feel comfortable, heard and supported.

She also facilitates:
